Welcome Message

On behalf of the entire University Housing Services Staff, welcome to Campus Village and SJSU Housing!

Living on-campus is part of the Ultimate SJSU Experience, one that provides you opportunities to meet students from around San José and the world, make life-long friendships and establish a connection to our diverse campus life. Each of our residential buildings is managed by professional and student staff, which provides residents with social and educational programming and support. Research suggests that students who live on campus tend to have higher grades, graduate at higher rates, graduate in shorter periods of time and report greater satisfaction with the university experience.

Our residents also appreciate the fact that living on-campus puts them at the center of everything! You'll be living just steps away from classrooms, faculty offices, dining facilities, and other campus buildings like the Event Center, Student Union and Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. And, because the campus is located in the heart of downtown San José, you're only a short walk from museums, restaurants, theaters, concert halls and sports venues. San José is a vibrant and growing city with many cultural and career opportunities; and, we are proud to say, the safest city per capita in the United States!

As you might imagine, we are very excited about our three newest buildings - Campus Village - opened in fall 2005, with a First Year Experience residence hall for freshmen, an apartment building for upper division students, and a faculty/staff/guest apartment building. Campus Village is a cutting-edge residential community with world-class amenities, including high-speed Internet access, video on-demand, computer lab, and convenience store. I encourage you to explore this website and familiarize yourself with all that on-campus housing and Campus Village have to offer!
