Campus VillageCampus Village opened in the Fall 2005. It offers a First Year Experience residence hall for Freshman, an apartment building for upper division students, and a faculty/staff/guest apartment building. The Campus Village is located on the south-east corner of campus, and is a short walking distance to classes, and Downtown San José. Included in the Campus Village is the Village Market which offers Starbucks Coffee, Subway sandwiches, and all the snacks, and soft drinks for those late night study sessions. The Campus Village also offers a high speed internet connection, local telephone calls, cable television, a onsite laundry facility, a recreation and activities center otherwise known as the RAC, includes a gaming area with air hockey, ping pong, and pool, The RAC also has 4 meeting rooms which includes a DVD player so you can watch the latest movies with your friends, and classmates. We also offer a 24 hour courtesy desk in Building B during the school to assist you with your needs. Campus Village also features two levels of underground parking for students on a limited basis, and bicycle racks on either side of Building B. . Each student is also offered a mailbox with 24 hour access that will remain the same throughout their stay here. Building A - Faculty/Staff/GraduateOn-Campus Housing is available to provide support to new Faculty and Staff seeking housing in the Bay area. The high cost of living in the Silicon Valley is an obstacle to many potential SJSU community members, but those who are able to make it work benefit from the opportunities in this unique area. It offers those incoming staff members new to the area a place to live close to campus at competitive prices. It offers a library/television area, and mailboxes.
Building B - The ApartmentsBuilding "B" is the location of the upper division apartments, the Recreation Activities Center, and the Village Market. It is the centerpiece of the Campus Village and features our 15 story tower. It features one bedroom studios, and 3,4,5 bedroom apartments equipped with its own kitchen, and living room area. Building C - The Suites"The Suites" are is set up for that First Year Experience. As a freshman at Campus Village, you will also enjoy suite-style housing facilities with spacious floor plans and a variety of amenities that offer all the comforts of home and more.
